JOB TITLE: Project Manager
LOCATIONS: Southern England (Mobile and remote working)
SALARY: £50,000 – £60,000
ROLE OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as part of a team to deliver projects on budget including the costing, selling and delivering of projects in your region.
Ensure all projects are executed in strict accordance with company policies and procedures and in addition with all national codes and any relevant technical or legislative standards.
Compilation of Health & Safety requirements for sites, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements and the execution of these procedures by approved sub-contractors / direct labour.
Ensuring cost effective purchasing and delivery scheduling for materials, labour and/or equipment to site, all in accordance with the ethical codes of purchasing
Maximize the profitable and timely execution of all projects.
Maintain all contract documentation in an efficient manner and in compliance with company policies/procedures.
To assist with the monitoring of projects financially ensuring that the final gross margin is maximized including issue and closing of final accounts for internal trading and variations.
Ensure that all requirements are fulfilled on the contracts.
Promote other cross selling opportunities associated with the other parts of company.
Ensure client satisfaction at all times within projects both during and after execution.
To inform the Project Director of any issues, which may be causing problems on site and may delay the completion of the contract or jeopardize the satisfaction of the customer.
Compile reports and information sheets according to the company’s Quality System, for purposes of conveying information regarding the quality and performance of individual installations
Any other duties, projects etc. that are necessary for the achievement of the company’s Objectives within the remit of the role. Note: the above list is not exhaustive and may be reviewed from time to time with the role holder
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Costing and selling projects to the end user / Contract Manager and then delivering these projects
Running projects within your designated region, however you may be asked to assist other regions.
Submitting Expenses weekly / Monthly with all supporting receipts.
The financial stability of the project
Uphold and promote the good name of the company at all times.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS (Physical, psychological, or work demands)
Longer working hours will require role holder to agree to opt out of the Working Time regulations
Excellent personal resilience e.g. ability to deal with demanding or difficult customers and persistence with the contracts process
This role will require the post holder to lift weights of up to 10kg unaided
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years field based Project / Install experience
Full UK Driving License (maximum 6 points on license and no cases pending
NVQ / City & Guilds in one of the recognized HVAC qualification
Manufacturer course / knowledge
Building Knowledge
DESIRABLE:
IPAF, PASMA
Knowledge and use of computer software – Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems
HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience
City & Guilds/NVQ – Building Services Engineering or Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent
