This role of Finance Analyst is based in Baghdad, Iraq, and will report directly to the Finance Manager . The responsible for driving business growth through the management of sales and operating expenses planning and forecasting. This includes controlling and analyzing market prices and discounts, conducting ad hoc analysis, and monitoring actual performance compared to budget and latest estimates. Additionally, responsible for analyzing and interpreting variances to support senior management in making tactical and strategic decisions. This role involves arranging dashboards for volume, revenue, and company expenses, as well as providing periodic reports to measure the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns relative to cost.

Your responsibilities will be:
Keeping track of the Receivables and coordinating with the Distributors / Country Sales Managers to ensure payments received on time.
Perform reconciliation analysis of SoA with all Distributors on a quarterly basis.
Prepare accruals as part of monthly close activities and work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
Conduct analysis and mapping for sale data and distributor performance to ensure effective follow up and generate actional improvement points
Manage and improve distributor performance dashboard and slide decks.
Generate reporting tools and dashboard for sale by customers/pharmacies with focusing on FOC offering to ensure control and effectiveness
Capable to provide financial performance KPI IMS/TMS /DIO as well as profitability reports
Providing insights about business development based on market data analysis
Generate reporting tools and dashboards for internal company expenses like marketing expenses, SFE & training.
Managing the closing exercises, ensuring compliance with company policies, and enhancing the company’s audit report and requirements.
Keeping track of the Opex and analyzing the actuals vs. benchmarks and commenting on variances
The finance analyst will serve as a backup for the accountant by reconciling and recording the monthly financial statements and transactions, ensuring that documentation complies with internal policies before booking.
The finance analyst will serve as a backup to facilitate payments to vendors by reviewing purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining the process for timely and compliant payment of accounts, ensuring the company meets its obligations as they fall due.
Ensure that Price Lists are updated with Customer Service and FOC discounts and Commercial are accurately booked each month FOC reconciliation – TMS vs IMS
Work closely with Finance Manager on the Budget, rolling Exercise and coordinate with the Commercial and Supply Team to collect the data
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
Assists in preparation of management presentation decks on forecast and business performance reviews.
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
Consolidating and analyzing financial data, taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope
Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new investment regulations or policies
Develop models that help with decision-making
Should be very good with numbers and solving problems, and should be familiar with the workings of the economy, tax laws, and money markets
Your Profile:
3-6 years of experience in a similar role relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields
Excellent command of English and Arabic language.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) .
Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling
Excellent analytical, Decision-making, and problem solving skills
Full-time dedication to the position & Residency in Baghdad is highly preferred.
Self-motivated and ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet stretched deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills & presentation skills.
Computer literacy (MS-Office-Tools), good understanding of database and document management systems.
