Analyst-Data Intermediate Quality and Patient Safety
The Quality Improvement Data Analyst will work with the Director of Quality and Patient Safety to drive data efficiencies within the West Region of IU Health. This role will assist in driving improved patient outcomes with key stakeholders for the Vizient Quality and Accountability Platform. They will also assist in creating databases, reports, and dashboards to continually improve quality care in the region.
(This role is hybrid and will require some onsite work in Layfette, Indiana)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses the information capabilities of assigned areas to address gaps and provides data analysis training.
Serves as a resource person to all levels of management in reviewing, understanding, and analyzing data for performance improvement initiatives.
PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Cerner and Epic EHR platforms preferred
Familiarity with statistical platforms such as ExcelSTAT preferred
Familiarity with Vizient Q&A preferred
Clinical and/or healthcare experience preferred.
STRONGLY PERFERRED:
Creation of PowerBI dashboards
Proficiency in SQL coding and database creation
Communication skills with key stakeholders to translate needs into feasible data pulls
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Requires knowledge of computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Access.
