What are we looking for in a Data Quality Analyst?
The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for data collection and analysis to demonstrate outcomes related to our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) grants. Beyond evaluating and interpreting large data sets, the Data Quality Analyst will also perform statistical tests to determine data quality and integrity; evaluate the impact of system design on data quality; and collaborate with database developers to improve data collection, storage, and governance. A high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness are essential in this role. Previous experience performing data analytics in the healthcare field is required. The Data Quality Analyst is an on-site position located in our Yakima office with a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm work schedule. This is a grant-funded position expected to continue through September 2026.
Data Quality Analyst duties may include:
completing data queries to clean the data and identify coding issues
integrating data from internal & external sources and performing extract, transform, and load operations
analyzing data to identify and interpret patterns or trends in data sets
performing data audits to identify problem areas & implementing strategies to optimize data integrity and process improvements
collaborating with the Project Evaluator on NOMS, IPP, and SAMHSA data to provide monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports
assisting with the design & implementation of database warehouse structure and developing standards for the design of data elements
working closely with leadership to determine needs for specific projects or ad hoc requests and then producing & distributing the required data sets
assisting with ongoing data architecture processes & governance
adhering to best practices for data analysis & collection, including maintaining documentation of processes and data records
demonstrating knowledge of CCBHC model of care for integrated behavioral health systems and national outcome measures specific to the grant
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in information science, health informatics, or related field
Three years of experience with data analysis, preferably within the healthcare field
Proficient in ETL and SQL programming
In-depth knowledge of statistical methods, tests, and software and best practices in data analysis
