About the team
Virtus from FIS Managed Services provides middle office support to global asset managers. Our managed services platform offers a fully automated front to back-office systems and service support infrastructure.
Our European team is responsible for providing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to our rapidly expanding client base.
What You Will Be Doing
Prepares daily cash flow and reconciliation of fund transactions, cash and investment activity for numerous investment fund portfolios, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
Manages large volumes of transactions, while monitoring account balances and actively researching discrepancies with various agents and clients.
Enters and monitors pending trade orders
Manages and processes bond and loan settlements and communicates closely with operations and trade counterparties
Executes pre-trade simulations for portfolio managers by adding proposed trades to an existing portfolio and computes the outcome for coverage, collateral quality, and concentration tests
Monitors various compliance tests daily to ensure results remained within given parameters outlined in the legal indentures, ties out the portfolio data, and produces monthly compliance reports within strict deadlines
Raises cash for distributions
Enters check/wire requests
Interacts in an ongoing relationship with an assigned trust relationship manager, associated financial partners, and global asset managers.
Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or consult with a senior colleague
What You Bring
Up to 5 years of experience in financial services industry
Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Organizational Science or Finance, or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
Preferred financial services industry experience; knowledge of corporate debt and syndicated loans is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced excel
Effective communication with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel
