We are seeking a Junior Python Developer with 2-5 12 years of expertise to join our team.

Responsibilities:

· As a Junior Java/Python Developer, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and APIs using Java and Python. This role primarily involves backend development, API integration, and may include cloud-based solutions.

· Application Development: Assist in building scalable and maintainable applications and APIs using Java and Python. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

· API Design & Integration: Support the development of RESTful APIs and microservices to enable secure and efficient system communication. Help integrate third-party APIs and services.

· Database Management: Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval.

· Team Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and QA teams to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.

· Performance & Security: Contribute to performance optimization and apply security best practices in data handling and API authentication.

· Cloud Integration: Assist in implementing cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) for cloud-native solutions and deployments.

· Maintenance & Support: Help maintain and enhance existing applications and APIs.

Working arrangements:

Based on this role’s business requirements, the candidate will be required to work from the Client’s office in Ashburn VA. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Work Authorization:

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
