About The Role
We are seeking a Junior UI Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for recent graduates from top-tier computer science programs or individuals with 1-3 years of practical UI development experience. As a Junior UI Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and designers to translate design mockups into functional, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces. Your contributions will directly impact the usability and aesthetic quality of our products, providing a rewarding opportunity to grow your technical skills and industry knowledge. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier university
1–3 years of hands-on UI development experience, including internships at well-known tech companies such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, etc.
Proficiency in React or other modern frameworks like Vue.js or Angular
Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
Experience with HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), and responsive design principles
Basic knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standards
Experience using Git for version control (branching, pull requests, merges)
Portfolio or code samples demonstrating UI development skills (school projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and a growth-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to convert mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive UI components
Implement end-to-end UI features that enhance user experience and align with our design system
Write clear, maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript code, optimizing for performance and scalability
Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality
Troubleshoot UI bugs, address cross-browser inconsistencies, and resolve accessibility issues
Stay informed about emerging UI patterns, libraries, and best practices; share insights with the team
Contribute to maintaining and improving the existing UI codebase
Assist in testing and debugging UI components across different devices and browsers
